Carla J. Curtis, MS, LPC, CADC is an author, blogger, and therapist. She is the author of the Christian inspirational books: A Single Woman’s Parenting Journey: Survival Tidbits, Grip the Rope: Prayers for Single Mothers, and A Date with Jesus: A Woman’s Guide to a Closer Relationship with the Lord.
And her story, “The Power of a Mother’s Love,” featured in the anthology Gumbo for the Soul: Women of Honor is a personal testimony sharing her innermost feelings about her late mother’s initial breast cancer diagnosis. Carla has also written book reviews and articles over the years for online and print publications and has provided proofreading for other authors. Carla’s also the creator and blogger for Carla’s Reflections where she shares her thoughts about social issues and various trending topics that spark her interest or strike a nerve. Carla’s Reflections is also a platform for spotlighting other creatives.
On a personal note, Carla is a native of Springfield, IL and currently resides in a northwest suburb of Chicago, IL. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, watching movies, playing the piano, binging on Netflix, reading, writing, and attending church.
