About the Author
Freddie B. Arnold, Jr. is a Construction Manager with expertise in architecture, construction management, and restaurant development. Freddie worked with McDonald’s Corporation in Operations for 10 years overseeing restaurant operations in both Illinois and Indiana before leaving in 2004 to focus strictly on architecture and construction. In 2004 he joined the George Sollitt Construction Company.
The past 16 years Freddie has been involved in the oversight, analysis and construction of over $1B in projects, ranging from Healthcare, Education, Religion, Multi-Unit Housing and Government agencies. In 2018, he was named “Estimator of the Year” by the Association of Subcontractors and Affiliates General Contractors Council.
In 2020, Freddie was the recipient of Chicago Defender’s Men of Excellence Class of 2020 Awards, which recognizes 50 world-class men from the Chicagoland area who have displayed the highest level of leadership. He holds a Bachelors in Architecture from the University of IL-Chicago and a Masters in Construction Engineering and Management from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
Freddie is Elder at Pullman Presbyterian Church, a mentor for YOUNG M.I.N.D.S., a member of Free & Accepted Masons (P.H.A.) and Immediate Past Basileus of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Chi Lambda Lambda Chapter. He resides in South Holland, IL with his wife of 25 years, Valicienne and daughters; Adrienne, Kennedy and Autumn.
